This reminds me of the Clerks animated show. Did you ever watch it? I thought it was the best thing Kevin Smith did, and I'm someone who enjoyed everything from Clerks to Dogma... that's about were I stop, Jay and Silent Bob Strikes back was... alright... I guess. I love the background!
